Awaken, Express, and Let Your Body move in Harmony
Shakti Yoga Dance is a sacred movement practice rooted in Kundalini Yoga and Yogic philosophy, created by lifelong dancer and yoga practitioner Sara Avtar Oliver. It invites the awakening and embodiment of harmonious movement through a meditative and expressive flow.
This practice supports free, organic expression while gently releasing physical and mental blockages, easing stress, and opening into a state of peaceful, wakeful spaciousness. Through inward-focused flowing asanas, elements of dance, rhythmic coordination and conscious breath — woven with mantra, voice and sound — Shakti Yoga Dance rebalances the subtle energetic currents of the body.
Taught as an eight-phase process, each stage flows naturally into the next, while individual asanas may also be explored within standalone classes. As a somatic movement practice, Shakti Yoga Dance reconnects us with the body’s innate wisdom and capacity for self-regulation, cultivating presence, vitality and a deep sense of wholeness and connection to life.

Sessions are delivered in a two-hour workshop format, allowing the full eight-phase energetic process to be fully experienced and integrated.
